A Biography of the Holy Trinity and Man

The truth of the matter is not everyone will speak in tongues. The office of
speaking in tongues is a "gift of the Spirit." Everyone will not receive that gift. God
the Holy Spirit is the One who decides who receives what gift(s); we are not.

If you're like most people you have questions about God that are difficult to find answers for. But, there are answers to some of these and other intriguing, and sometimes troubling, questions about life inside this book in easy-to-understand language. This book is designed to lessen some of the mystery of God. God wants us to know more about Him and His plans for us. God wants us to know about His Son, Christ Jesus, and exactly what He did for us then and what He does for us now. God wants us to know about His power, the Holy Spirit, and what He does. God wants us to understand how we are viewed by Him and how we fit into His overall plans. He wants us to see ourselves, the condition that we have, and the position that we are in. God wants us to understand that there must be a faithful and productive relationship between Him and us if we are to please Him. And we must have a solid understanding of how that relationship itself works. It is extremely important that we know what sin is and how it affects our relationship with Him. He wants and expects us to know all these things. God has never wanted to remain a total mystery to us because we cannot serve Him if He is a total mystery. Therefore, this book explains to the undecided, enlightens the newly converted, and reinforces for those already "born again" the necessity of understanding the relationship between God and themselves. Also, you will come to know that there are choices that must be made that only you can make. But they will not be as difficult to make once you have a better understanding of the relationship between God and man.

Katherine Sonderegger follows her monumental volume on the doctrine of God with this second entry of her Systematic Theology, which explores the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. Locating her analysis first in the Hebrew Scriptures, Sonderegger examines the thrice-holy God that is proclaimed to Isaiah in the sanctuary and manifested in the sacrifice of the temple. The book of Leviticus, read in conversation with Exodus, unfolds the doctrine of the Trinity under the character of holiness. In the One God, Trinity speaks of the life, movement, and self-offering of God, who is the eternal procession of goodness and light. In Israel's sacrificial covenant, the Triune God is perfect self-offering: the eternal descent of the Father of Lights is the offering who is Son, eternally received and hallowed in the one who is Spirit. Anchoring the theology of the Trinity in Israel's Scriptures in this way elevates the processions over the persons, exploring the mystery of the Divine Life as holy, rational, and good. The Divine Persons, named in the New Testament, cannot be defined but may be glimpsed in the notion of perfection, a complete and perfect infinite set. In all these ways, the Holy Trinity may be praised as the deep reality of the life of God.

This classic work, On The Trinity, was translated into several languages and played an important role in the spreading of the ideals of Eastern and Western Christianity. Augustine of Hippo, also known as Augustine, Saint Augustine, St. Austin, St. Augoustinos, Blessed Augustine, or St. Augustine the Blessed, was Bishop of Hippo Regius (present-day Annaba, Algeria). He was a Latin-speaking philosopher and theologian who lived in the Roman Africa Province. His writings were very influential in the development of Western Christianity. According to his contemporary, Jerome, Augustine “established anew the ancient Faith.” In his early years he was heavily influenced by Manichaeism and afterward by the Neo-Platonism of Plotinus. In the Catholic Church and the Anglican Communion, he is a saint and pre-eminent Doctor of the Church, and the patron of the Augustinian religious order; his memorial is celebrated 28 August, the day of his death. He is the patron saint of brewers, printers, theologians, the alleviation of sore eyes, and a number of cities and dioceses. Many Protestants, especially Calvinists, consider him to be one of the theological fathers of Reformation due to his teaching on salvation and divine grace. In the Eastern Orthodox Church he is blessed, and his feast day is celebrated on June 15th. Among the Orthodox, he is called “Blessed Augustine”, or “St. Augustine the Blessed.”

The book of acts is called the acts of apostles because the Holy Spirit spoke and worked with them. In the book of acts we see Prayer intensity, the Holy Spirit instructions and the word of God impact. The book of acts is the book of World Apostleship and Discipleship. Whatever the apostles accomplished in the book of acts it was the Holy Spirit who worked with them. Thus is why world apostleship is Holy Spirit special work. When we talk about world apostleship and discipleship, we are talking about the Holy Spirit at work with men and women. The Holy Spirit has special work today! In World Apostleship book, you will learn that World apostleship is for today. It may be a new term to some people but not to God and those who love his work. In World Apostleship book, you will learn seven meanings of world apostleship and receive the discipleship you need. World Apostleship is the work of God and is done by God himself. Christians and ministers of the gospel may emphasize public worship, personal discipleship, church fellowship, financial stewardship but God want you also to know World Apostleship (I call it WA). I have written World Apostleship with one aim to introduce to you the special work of the Holy Spirit. The apostles knew their call and work well in advance in Acts chapter one before the Holy Spirit came upon them and they received the power of God. God made the apostles to know witnessing, ministry and world apostleship. You too can know these three key words and be successful in your modern culture and the 21st century.
