In The Plagues of Egypt, molecular biologist Siro Trevisanato assembles data gleaned from a variety of ancient texts and a wide range of scientific disciplines to assist in a reconsideration of the ten biblical plagues recorded in the Biblical book of Exodus. Trevisanato's reconstruction presents a view of these events that argues for their historical reality, identifying the series of disasters which befell Egypt as a chain reaction traceable to a single cataclysmic event which for the first time can be dated with certainty.

Shows how a desecrated tomb in the Valley of the Kings holds the key to the true history of the destruction of Atlantis • Reveals that Tomb 55 in the Valley of the Kings was designed not to keep intruders out, but to trap something inside • Provides forensic evidence proving that the mask believed to be the face of Tutankhamun is actually that of his elder brother Smenkhkare In Atlantis and the Ten Plagues of Egypt, Graham Phillips explores the excavation of a mysterious and ritually desecrated tomb in the Valley of the Kings, Tomb 55, which he contends holds the key to the true history of the destruction of Atlantis. Unlike other Egyptian tombs designed to keep intruders out, Tomb 55 was constructed to keep something imprisoned within, specifically Smenkhkare, the older brother of Tutankhamun who was deemed responsible for the ten plagues in Egyptian history, to prevent such tragedies from ever happening again. The forensic findings from this tomb coupled with compelling new evidence from the polar ice caps provide sensational evidence that the parting of the Red Sea, the deaths of the first born, and the other plagues that afflicted Egypt were all actual historical events. Core samples from the polar ice caps indicate that a gigantic volcanic eruption took place in the eastern Mediterranean around the time of Amonhotep’s reign. Other research suggests this to have been the time of the eruption that destroyed the Greek island of Thera, one of the likely locations of Atlantis, and that the subsequent cataclysm may explain the unusual lack of resistance to the new religion installed by Amonhotep’s son, Akhenaten, when he took power several years later.

From a biblical standpoint, this is a very significant time of year. It reminds us of ancient Israel’s miraculous deliverance from Egyptian slavery, of the Passover commemoration, of the symbols Jesus Christ instituted as the ultimate Passover “Lamb of God” who gave His life for the sins of the whole world, and the fact that He is the “Firstborn from the dead” showing us how we, too, may receive eternal life in God’s family. The articles in this issue cover these and other themes important to those who take the Bible seriously. We hope you’ll read them and take them seriously too! Inside this issue -- What Would Jesus Do? -- The Exodus Plagues: Judgment on Egypt’s Gods -- "Christ, Our Passover" -- Lessons of the Passover Bread -- "The Firstborn From the Dead": What Does It Mean? -- Today’s Arms Race: How Will It End? -- Christians Who Don’t Celebrate Easter: What Do They Know? -- Follow Me: Framed Forever by a Tear -- The Second Resurrection: Humanity’s Opportunity for Salvation!

The Ages in Alignment series seeks to resolve contradictions in accepted theories of history, and concludes that all the ancient civilizations arose simultaneously around 1100 BC. This, Volume 1, examines the archaeological evidence for the Flood and the rise of the first literate cultures in the wake of the catastrophe and traces the story of the great migration which led groups of early Mesopotamians westward toward Egypt. A few generations later Imhotep is shown to be the same person as Joseph, son of Jacob.
